Pink Cricut DT FRIDAY!

Hello! Its Design Team Friday @ Pink Cricut!

I worked with Scripted Years stamp Set this week! It is one of my faves!! Love it!

A must have for all cardmakers!

This week I created a simple 4x4 card. I cut the labels from Gypsy Wanderings,

the present was cut from Smiley Cards, (you can find similar cuts to both of these on other

cartridges...labels on Storybook and Present on Doodlecharms..those are the ones I can

think of, there are probably more!) Ink edges, add ribbon, stamp sentiment!

Quick, simple and cute!

Be sure to check out Pink Cricuts blog and the other Designers this week!

Masking Tape Technique!

I was looking around for different techniques to try! Found some fun ones.
Here is the first one...its done with masking tape!

First thing you need to do is cover a piece of chipboard with masking tape randomly.

Next ink the entire piece, I used a few shades of blue. After inking I covered piece with UTEE then heat set ( I didnt use embossing ink, I wanted a mottled look) after first coat is melted add another, while that is still melted add glitter and run heat over again. Let cool!

Next cut your shape!! What a great effect! I wish I would have cut something less detailed so you can see it better!

Here is a project I made using the snowflake, its an M&M treat holder! Perfect little stocking stuffer! (I will give details on this soon)
Try it out, its a fun technique! If you make a project please share with me..leave your link in the comment section on this post!

Be Thankful Blog Hop :)

If you would like to start at the beginning of the hop start HERE!

Hello Friends! This is my first blog hop, I am so excited! This hop is all about Thankfullness! It is the time of year were we all take the time to reflect on the things we are Thankful for. Before I go on to my project I would just like to share a few things that I am Thankful for!

Family, with out them I would not be the person I am today, I am so glad for there help and encouragment.

Faith, honestly for awhile I questioned Faith, I know terrible. My family has been through a horrific, terrible, stressful year and half. I won't get into detail but it strenghtened my Faith tremendously!

and last but not least Friends! I have made alot of friends since starting my crafting venture and they are all fantastic and I don't know what I would do with out them! ;)

Now on to my project, I thought this would be perfect for a place setting at each persons dinner plate. Gather up everyones Thankful card and put them away, do this every year, years from now it will be great to look back and see how things change. This is also a great way to have everyones handwriting and keep for years!

Recipe for Thankful Card:

6x5 chipboard (cover with paper)

First layer 5x4

Last layer (with text) 4 3/4 x 3 3/4

(Use corner rounder on all pieces)

Add twine

Pillow Box Place Card Treat

2x3 Pillow Box

2 x 1 1/2 Strip paper

Acorn & Leaves (from Create a Critter) cut at 1 1/2

Fill Box with crinkle paper and candy (I used Hersheys Kisses)

add paper strip, Ribbon, Leaves...stamp acorn with sentiment ( I used Bountiful Blessing by Pink Cricut) Use pop dot on acorn and add to pillow box. Write names on the pillow box treats and place them on the dinner plates along with Thankful cards.

Smiley Card Project!

I have finally made a project using the ever so cute, Smiley Card Cartridge! This was an exclusive cartridge to Gypsy owners who registered their Gypsy by Oct. 31.

I couldn't resist this adorable little ice cream cone!
Of course I had to use Peachy Keen Princess Faces!
Card is 4x4
Layer is 3 1/4 x 3 1/4
Strip is 2 x 3 1/4 (used border punch on both sides)
Celebrate stamp is from Papertrey Ink (fillable frames series)
