cartridges...labels on Storybook and Present on Doodlecharms..those are the ones I can

think of, there are probably more!) Ink edges, add ribbon, stamp sentiment!

Masking Tape Technique!

I was looking around for different techniques to try! Found some fun ones.
Here is the first one...its done with masking tape!

First thing you need to do is cover a piece of chipboard with masking tape randomly.

Next ink the entire piece, I used a few shades of blue. After inking I covered piece with UTEE then heat set ( I didnt use embossing ink, I wanted a mottled look) after first coat is melted add another, while that is still melted add glitter and run heat over again. Let cool!

Next cut your shape!! What a great effect! I wish I would have cut something less detailed so you can see it better!

Here is a project I made using the snowflake, its an M&M treat holder! Perfect little stocking stuffer! (I will give details on this soon)
Try it out, its a fun technique! If you make a project please share with me..leave your link in the comment section on this post!

Be Thankful Blog Hop :)

If you would like to start at the beginning of the hop start HERE!

Hello Friends! This is my first blog hop, I am so excited! This hop is all about Thankfullness! It is the time of year were we all take the time to reflect on the things we are Thankful for. Before I go on to my project I would just like to share a few things that I am Thankful for!

Family, with out them I would not be the person I am today, I am so glad for there help and encouragment.

Faith, honestly for awhile I questioned Faith, I know terrible. My family has been through a horrific, terrible, stressful year and half. I won't get into detail but it strenghtened my Faith tremendously!

and last but not least Friends! I have made alot of friends since starting my crafting venture and they are all fantastic and I don't know what I would do with out them! ;)

Now on to my project, I thought this would be perfect for a place setting at each persons dinner plate. Gather up everyones Thankful card and put them away, do this every year, years from now it will be great to look back and see how things change. This is also a great way to have everyones handwriting and keep for years!

Recipe for Thankful Card:

6x5 chipboard (cover with paper)

First layer 5x4

Last layer (with text) 4 3/4 x 3 3/4

(Use corner rounder on all pieces)

Add twine

Pillow Box Place Card Treat

2x3 Pillow Box

2 x 1 1/2 Strip paper

Acorn & Leaves (from Create a Critter) cut at 1 1/2

Fill Box with crinkle paper and candy (I used Hersheys Kisses)

add paper strip, Ribbon, Leaves...stamp acorn with sentiment ( I used Bountiful Blessing by Pink Cricut) Use pop dot on acorn and add to pillow box. Write names on the pillow box treats and place them on the dinner plates along with Thankful cards.

Next stop on hop is http://www.crazyaboutcricut.blogspot.com/

Pink Cricut DT Week! Butterfly Kisses

Its DT week at Pink Cricut!
This week I wanted to show that the stamps can be used for Home Decor!

I made this adorable mobile that would be great in a Nursery or Little girls room.
For this project I used a great new product, that I just have to rave about...it cut my project time in 1/2 and that product is Post It adhesive backed paper by 3M! This is a must have..it inks well, embosses great and if you want to add glitter..cut image in reverse and apply glitter or flock to adhesive back..easy peasy, no messes with glue!

For this project I cut butterflies from Hello Kitty at 2 1/2 and 1 3/4 out of thin chipboard..I used cereal box. Then cut layers out of Post It paper. Inked and Emboss pieces. Assemble butterflies. Add twine and ribbon to stick. Attach Butterflies, Stamp "Butterfly Kisses" Stamp on circle {stamp is from Pink Cricuts GO GREEN set}..there you have a super cute mobile!

Don't Forget to check out the other great projects by Sarah and the other Pink Cricut Designer!

Quick & Simple Halloween Treat Holders!

No cricut cuts today>...GASP....LOL I didnt have my crafting mojo today, but I wanted to get a project posted! These were made as I was going along so I will give directions the best I can!

I started out with a 5x5 piece of carstock scored at 1 1/2 on one side and then again on the opposite side and the top. Fold score lines, on the top you will have 3 squares cut the end 2 off. Fold center one down (best to use double sided paper for this). I used and edge punch one the folded down square. Tape flap back and bottom and use crimper. Adhere flap down. Add ribbon, Stamped image and candy! For the sucker it was the same, except size was cut to approx. 5x4 square. Hope I explained that well enough! If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask!

The leaves came tumbling down....

I am so in the mood for fall and all the leaves to change color. I love to take pictures outside in the fall. I made this layout with some upcoming fall pics in mind!
Erin over at Erin Lee Creative Blog is having a layout challenge, so I decided to enter this layout!

The tree is cut @ 6" from Oct. 31 cricut cart.
the leaves were cut @ 3/4" from Doodlecharms cart.

On the tree I pop dotted a few of the leaves for dimension, and stickled them.
The leaves on the "ground" I crinkled to make them look more like fallen leaves. I also pop dotted some of the fallen leaves.

The title was printed from my computer, and layered and inked.
The cute little sentiment stamp that says "Happy Fall Y'all" came from
Pink Cricut's Simply everything stamp set.
Hope this inspires you! Have a Crafty Day!
